Steps to Protection

 

1. Start with correcting on board problems such as bad wiring, leaking fittings, and ensuring your vessel has a proper bonding system.

2. Use less noble metals (Sacrificial Anodes) such as zinc, aluminum, or magnesium to protect the more noble metals you wish to preserve.

3. A Galvanic Isolator offers some protection as well as an Isolation Transformer for carbon fiber hulls, metal hulls, or larger boats with a lot of AC equipment.
